ASKING FOR IT
Asking for and getting our personal and professional needs met is more precisely what this article is about.
It pertains to the energy of the throat, specifically the Throat Chakra. ( Energy Centre).
The quality of the energy of the Throat Chakra governs the Neck Shoulders and Arms up to the Elbows.
Almost all physical chronic or acute issues in the neck/ shoulder areas are the result of an unexpressed inner conflict.
When I speak of conflicts, I am generally referring to the incessant but not always, internal dialogue that goes on unexpressed. The conflict is with someone or some situation in either a work / profession or personal relationship. Ultimately the conflict is with our selves. It is never about them, or that situation. The real issue is about our interpretation of the situation; our response or non- response to it.
Issues held in the lower Chakras such as anger, resentment, hurts, frustrations become the topic of dialogue with oneself, where we play out scenarios of confrontation but never realising the confrontation. The issue may be huge or small but on the scale of our particular emotional state something small to you may be huge to me especially if it is a conflict that we are repeatedly presented with over the course of our lives in various degrees and have yet to conquer the demon.
In our personal relationships, conflicts exist more often because of poor communication, no communication, misunderstandings, not listening, being unable to listen, being unable, unwilling or afraid to ask for and get our needs met. When we are ( male /female energies) balanced we express what we feeeeel, not what we think. When balanced we express from the Heart in order to get our needs met. That way there are no accusations and no finger pointing.
Shoulder issues are the weight of your inner world in your brain ( Third Eye Chakra ) on your shoulders; pushing down.
Everything is energy. Energy must flow and energy flows through the throat when issues of love joy or pain are expressed.
Love unexpressed can be just as harmful to the body as anger unexpressed.
One of the first indications for the throat energy imbalance which may or may not accompany a physical neck or shoulder issue, and generaly more specifically related to persoanl as apposed to professional conflicts, is throat clearing. There is literally a voice stuck in the throat that needs to express itself. It is your body’s message that something needs to be addressed consciously. We are usually unaware of the dialogue because we are so accustomed to having that ones sided dialogue with ourselves. When the thought, feeling or issue is harmful to our well being the body in all instances sends us a message in some recognisable form.
Weak, nervous type, non-productive coughs are generally an indication of a long-standing conflict. You can address it by asking the body what is not being expressed in words or in action in either a personal relationship or your work or professional life. It may take a few minutes, a few hours or a few days but the answer will come if you ask. ( This is another case of asking for and getting your needs met / from the Universe. )
Regarding the physical problems of the shoulders so many men lay the blame on “ I must have slept wrong” or I must have pulled something at the gym.
Slept wrong, yes possibly, if you went to bed with the underlying conflict still in full force; tossed and turned all night and immobilized the muscles by restricting the energy flow.
Blowing off steam in the gym with a good workout may be beneficial but not if the focus is not entirely on the task at hand. For example, if the slam dunk is not actually about sinking a basket but knocking some ones head around. You pay, one way or another for your thoughts that are out of line with your higher self ( coming from a loving place.)
Here’s the biggest question to consider when the conflicts is work / profession related. Are you able to express your true self in your work. Have you creative freedom to express your self. Have you tried to input but have been silenced. Have you been silenced or do you feeeeel you will be silenced and have no right to have your say. This belief system often goes back to early childhood and past experiences
Balancing the energy requires feeling good about what you are doing. Being able to have input and to have that input recognised.
You express how you feeeel which comes from the Heart which is your centre, not what you think which comes from the head.
Not having work or a profession, not being able to do work, perhaps because of an injury or retirement or some other unfortunate circumstance can be cause to note. Doing anything that goes against your ideals and having no say could be the cause of a throat energy imbalance which reflects in the condition of your neck and shoulders.
